Gather is the public side of VerseMates: a prayer wall where anyone can post a prayer request, a praise, or a plain note about the week, with their name or anonymously as “Sister”. Others reply in one of two ways: an Amen, or “I’m praying for you” by name. No followers, no comments, no timeline to keep up with.

Gather is the one part of VerseMates other people can see. A post you make there, with its words, its photo if you add one, and the name on it, is visible to everyone using the app. Nothing from your walk ever appears: not your check-ins, not the words of grace you send, not the friend you walk with. The two halves of the app do not share data. The privacy policy says so in full.
Kept safe
Every post has Report and Block. A post reported by three people is hidden automatically. The community standards say what is not allowed, and there is no tolerance for harassment, hate, or anything that puts another person at risk. Two ways to reply and no comments is not only a design choice; it is most of what keeps the wall gentle.

Is Gather free?
Yes. Gather is included in the free app, along with the daily verse, the home-screen widget, the Bible reader and walking with a friend. Study plans are the only subscription.
Can I post a prayer request anonymously?

Who can see what I post in Gather?
