FEATURES

A small, faithful way to read — together.

VerseMates is a daily Bible verse app for women, and it does a few things, quietly and well. No streaks, no noise, no shame — just scripture, a place to be honest, a sister beside you, and a community praying with you.

There are six: a hand-picked verse each morning, a home-screen widget in five scenes, grace-first daily check-ins, a private walk with one trusted friend, a whole community praying together in Gather, and a guided study walk each month. The Bible reader works offline in three translations, and everything but study plans is free.

THE DAILY VERSE

One verse, set over stillness.

Every morning VerseMates gives you a single, hand-picked scripture — never a wall of text. It arrives at the hour you choose, in the Berean Standard Bible, King James or Reina-Valera, framed by a quiet, beautiful scene to help it settle in.

HOME-SCREEN WIDGET

Scripture where you'll actually see it.

Add the VerseMates widget and today's verse greets you every time you unlock your phone. Choose small, medium, or large, and pick the scene that stills your heart — dawn, dusk, mist, forest, or night.

GENTLE CHECK-INS

Honesty, met with mercy.

Each day you answer one quiet question: how did it go? Faithful, struggled, or fell short. Whatever you tap, VerseMates responds with grace — a word of scripture, never a scolding. This is a place to begin again, as many times as it takes.

There is no condemnation. Begin again.
“His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”

WALK WITH A FRIEND

Two, walking together.

Invite one person you trust. Share the day's verse, write a short prayer, or simply say you're thinking of them. You'll see one another's check-ins and carry each other — privately, by invitation only. No timelines. No followers. Just the one who knows your name.

STUDY PLANS

A guided morning, every day.

One walk a month, a session each morning. This month is the Psalms of Ascent — fifteen days in the songs pilgrims sang going up to Jerusalem. Read the session yourself or let the app read it aloud, pick it back up where you stopped, and browse the twelve walks already in the library: the Sermon on the Mount, the Gospel of John, Psalms of Comfort, Advent and more.

GATHER · THE COMMUNITY

A prayer wall for the whole community.

Your walk is one friend. Gather is everyone else — sisters bringing the week they actually had. Someone asks for prayer before an interview. Someone marks a request answered after sixteen months sober. Someone just wanted one other person to see the seedlings come up.

You answer in one of two ways, and that is the whole vocabulary:

Amen
Praying for Nate

No followers, no reshares, nothing to keep up with. Post with your name or as “Sister,” and mark a request answered when it is — the people who prayed get to hear the end of it.

VerseMates will never send you a streak-broken alert, rank you against anyone, or make you feel like a project. It is built on one belief: that grace, not guilt, is what keeps us walking.
